What can I record?

Phone-007 has three recording modes which are:

• recording phone calls,
• ambient sound recording and
• the combination recording of them both

Phone-007 allows you to record in a variety of occasions such as cheating wife, cheating husband, monitor employee, parent control, elderly care, baby monitor and a variety of audio surveillance applications.

If I chose ambient sound recording, is it going to record all day long?

No, it doesn't. It only records when there is sound in the room. You can set the sound level according to your preference. The recording will start only if the sound in you room is above the figure you set.

You can control all functions of the Phone-007 from any phone or computer:

• Call your local Phone-007 access number from any phone and use your touch tone keypad to enter your login and pin code information. You will then be given the option to listen to a call in progress and manage various user options, or
• Go to my.PurpleGoods.com and log into the web portal. There you can manage all of your Phone-007 services from your computer.

Furthermore, there is a recording button located next to the right hand side of the LCD display screen on Phone-007. You can press it to configure the recording mode.

How do I listen to Recordings?

Any of the recorded conversations will be uploaded to the secure Phone-007 network. As a Phone-007 subscriber, you can listen in to live conversations from any phone or previously recorded conversations via a computer or a telephone anywhere in the world.

How do I record conversations in a room ?

Once your Phone-007 is set up to record ambient sound in a room, all conversations or sounds captured by the hidden microphone on the Phone-007 will be transmitted and stored on our secure network for you to access from a web browser. You can enable ambient sound recording through my.PurpleGoods.com web portal.

Will I be heard by callers when I use listen-in function?

No, you don't need to worry about it. You can join in the conversation anytime without anyone' knowledge.

How do I listen-in to a phone call?

Once you are alerted of a recording in progress, you canl isten-in To the conversation live by either:

• Picking up the alerting phone call, and eavesdropping right away or
• Calling your local Phone-007 access number from any phone and use your touch tone keypad to enter your login and pass code information.

Can Phone-007 be used like a normal phone?

Yes, Phone-007 works exactly like a normal phone except it needs to be plugged into an Internet connection. With Phone-007 monthly services, you enjoy unlimited* local and international calls for no additional charges.

Can I record a mobile phone call with Phone-007?

If your Phone-007 is on a call with a mobile phone then all the Phone-007 features will be available. In this way you can use Phone-007 to record a mobile phone call. Furthermore, as Phone-007 has ambient sound recording function, it will capture any detectable sound near Phone-007 and start recording. For instance, if someone is talking with a mobile phone near a Phone-007, the phone will capture their conversation automatically and give you a notification message or call to inform you the conversation has started.

Can Phone-007 be installed on a mobile phone?

Phone-007 is not software but an actual hardware device that is combined with a sophisticated Web and Internet service. It looks like a normal telephone but with a special network to support its recording functions. This network only supports Phone-007 which can't be installed on anybody's existing telephone or mobile phone. There is now way, however, to use Phone007 to track mobile phone's network.

Can I access the Phone-007 features from my mobile phone?

You can listen to previously recorded conversations by dialing a Phone-007 local access number from your mobile phone and enjoy the Phone-007 features. In addition, you can set up your mobile phone number as your notification number and have the system automatically call your mobile phone of any recording activities on or near your Phone-007.

How long are recordings kept?

Phone-007 services keep your recordings on the system as long as your storage space is available, usually phone 007 service subscriber will get 450MB storage space, which means up to around 80 hours long sound clips can be stored.

No, you do not need a computer to use Phone-007. You just need a high-speed Internet service (DSL, Cable Modem, etc.) to install the Phone-007. Once your Phone-007 is installed, you can access Phone-007 services from either a computer or a telephone anywhere (no computer needed). If you choose to use a computer to access the Phone-007 services, we recommend using Windows XP or Vista operating system, minimum of 256MB of memory, and an optional headset to listen to audio information with privacy.

Do I need broadband?

Because you can access the Phone-007 features from any phone, you don’t need a computer with broadband to listen to recorded calls or live conversations. However, the Phone-007 works as a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) phone and you do need to have broadband available wherever the Phone-007 is installed.

What if someone else in my office picks up my Phone-007 notification phone call?

In order to protect your privacy, you need to set up a password to listen to the recorded messages from any phone.  The same password would apply for any Phone-007 initiated notification phone calls.

How reliable is the Phone-007 technology? If all my conversations are recorded and heard by somebody else I would be extremely concerned about my own privacy.

What's your return and exchange policy?

Our goal is to ensure your 100% satisfaction.  You may return the Phone-007 unit for any reason for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. To obtain a refund, contact customer service for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and follow the instructions from customer service to return the unit. Please include all items in their original packaging when returning the unit. Shipping cost cannot be refunded. Customer is responsible for the shipping cost of returning the unit.
